POSSIBILITY OF A STRIKE AT CANADA POST: PLAN FOR THE PAYMENT OF YOUR CONDO FEES

The possibility of another Canada Post strike could disrupt mail delivery in the coming weeks. In this context, we would like to remind all co-owners of the importance of planning ahead for the payment of their common fees, especially if they are still making payments by cheque sent by mail.

To avoid any default situation and the associated consequences, we invite co-owners who use Canada Post to send cheques for their condo fees to adopt an alternative payment method now.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Timely payment is essential to the proper management of the syndicate’s affairs. Condo fees are generally the only source of income for the syndicate of co-ownership. They enable the day-to-day running of the building: maintenance, repairs, insurance, service contracts, etc. Late payments can jeopardize the sound financial management of your condominium.

YOUR ELECTRONIC PAYMENT OPTIONS

To avoid any delays or payment defaults in the event of a postal strike, we invite you to choose one of the following payment methods:

  • Pre-authorized debit (PAD)
    • Free of charge.
    • Simple, automated and worry-free.
    • Contact us at [email protected] to obtain the registration form.
  • Mobile payment by Canadian bank account
    • Free of charge.
    • Made via your banking application (standardized supplier payment).
    • Consult your account statement for instructions and your customer number.
  • Payment by credit card
    • Transaction fees apply, payable by the co-owner.
    • Access your condominium’s UpperBee home page to make your payment.

Would you like to continue paying by cheque?

Due to the disruptions caused by the strike, we strongly recommend that you use an alternative delivery service (e.g. courier or other private delivery service) rather than Canada Post, if you still choose to pay by cheque during this period.

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER

Late payment may result in:

  • Interest and/or penalties on your account
  • Administrative difficulties for the syndicate

Planning your payments in advance, especially during this period of postal uncertainty, is a simple gesture that facilitates the management of your condominium.

Thank you for your cooperation during this period. We remain available for any questions or assistance.
