


In recent months, a number of government communications have referred to the introduction of the new Government Authentication Service (GAS), designed to gradually replace certain existing platforms, notably clicSÉQUR.
This announcement has raised questions in the condominium community: should syndicates anticipate a change in the way they access the Quebec government’s online services, in particular the Registraire des entreprises (REQ) ?
The Ministry of Cybersecurity and Digital Technology has confirmed that the Government Authentication Service (GAS) is reserved for citizen use.
« The Government Authentication Service (GAS) is currently offered to access Government online services intended for citizen customers. The “gradual transition” does not concern Government online services intended for business customers » “Consequently, there are currently no plans to withdraw clicSÉQUR – Entreprises, and if any developments are planned in this regard, information will be communicated by the Government of Quebec.»
