HOLIDAYS AND SAFETY IN CONDOMINIUMS: BEST PRACTICES FOR A HASSLE-FREE SEASON

The Holiday Season transforms the atmosphere in buildings… and in condominiums too! To ensure that this period remains enjoyable for everyone, here are some practical tips for combining festivities, safety, and good neighborliness.

CELEBRATIONS: KEEP NOISE AND VISITORS UNDER CONTROL

  • Respect the quiet hours specified in your declaration of co-ownership. After 11 p.m., it is recommended that you significantly lower the volume of music or conversations.
  • Notify your neighbors if you are planning a lively party.
  • Parking: make sure your guests only use the spaces provided for this purpose. An illegally parked vehicle can quickly become a source of irritation for everyone.

Decorations and safety: stay vigilant

  • Electric garlands: choose CSA-certified or approved products and avoid overloading your outlets.
  • Natural Christmas trees: if permitted in your condominium (check your declaration), make sure it is well away from any heat sources and removed after the holidays. 
  • Balconies and emergency exits: avoid placing bulky or flammable decorations there.

PACKAGES AND DELIVERIES: BE PREPARED
